BIK is a standered video format for BINK video. Its just like playing back an avi, you just need the codec. This has been used way back in the time of FF8 on PS1 all the way though PS2, XBOX, Pc and gamecube to name a few systems.

Well, with that said the Bink people are actually listing the 360 as a compatible format so apparently they have been playing with it also which is nice to know.

Instead of making a new thread let me ask if anyone has had success with the XPR files.  These are supposed to MS Expression files but none of them can be read by Expression.  Just from looking at folder names and stuff they seem to fit the description of this extension type but none of them will open up.

.DDS also seems to be a standard texture format for MS but I have not given a stab at converting from DDS to other formats like JPG.  Msoft does make a tool to do this and I will give it a try later and see how it works.

there's a DDS plugin for photoshop.  Halo modders used it to modify textures (in the original Halo, at least, not sure about Halo 2).  And yeah, Bink/Smacker tools have been out for a while, but it is still pretty neat to watch video game videos on your PC.
