Theory Of The Media Flag Protection

I was comparing nfsmw and the official default.xex fo BC compatibility with a hexadecimal and this is my guest (It's probably not the real media check, but who know wink.gif)

if you look at the offset 00000000 to 000000A8 you see small diffenrence..

Btw i think i found the information part for each games:

offset 00001570 to offset 00001688 of nfsmw default.xex

relax and look at this maybe something in there is interesting or maybe it's not

even if those are the different flags (dvd or hd) what would you do with them? It's normal the emu runs from hd and the game from dvd. any edits would break the signature.

Careful Krayzie.. Most don't understand the inner details of xbox protection unless they've toyed with softmods. smile.gif

There are more hdsigned xbe's that have cdrom paths in them if you open them in a hex editor. Fact is it is still signed to run on hd and not to disc and you cannot edit anything.
