Gentoox 720p Help
« on: August 02, 2004, 12:21:00 PM »

I'm a bit of a newb to Linux, but bare with me.

Through an FTP install i find Gentoox works absolutely fine, it outputs a 480i to my TV and all is fine....

however i want to get Gentoox displaying in 720p, now all other applications just do this if they're able and detect a HDTV adapter etc.....

I realise that Gentoox is hardly an ordinary app....but in plain english what can i do to change the output to 720p (or 480p) in fact any resolution so long as it's progressive scan.

I'm starting with a normal FTP installation.

Please tell me which window to type stuff in, don't just give me a string of commands, i won't know where to type them!

thanks for helping this noob out ;)

PS

it's an Xbox v1.1 if that matters.
