Is There A Cheaper Way To Connect Wifi On Live

my router is in my passage cos thats were stupid bt put it, my son wants to go on xbox live in his bedroom but i dont want to have cables running all over, he has a pc in his room which has wifi, i dont realy want to spend £45+ on the original wifi adap so is ther an alternative

You can connect the 360 to your PC via a cable (you might need a crossover cable), then bridge the two network connections together in the PC. There are loads of posts on it - the only one I can find at the moment is here, but a bit of searching will bring up lots more!

Alternatively you can use a standalone wireless bridge - have a look at this post. If you can pick up a cheap flashable router it costs a lot less than the 360 wireless adapter, and the PC doesn't need to be turned on.

No need for a crossover cable, the 360 is auto sensing/negotiating and a regular patch cable will work fine for ICS.

get a linksys wireless router. flash it with dd-wrt. set to repeater bridge.
