Does Tmpgenc Xpress 4 Still Glitch With Mkv Containers?
« on: November 25, 2008, 02:00:00 PM »

If you read the first two or so pages of This Tutorial on how to encode MKV to WMV so that the 360 can play it in HD with 5.1 audio, you will notice that people found that TMPGEnc Xpress4 has problems with the MKV container and it would cause glitches during the encoding process.  Using Yamb to wrap the h264 video into a MOV container was the proposed solution to fix this issue (and it seemed to work.)  Since this tutorial was written nearly 10mo ago, I'm curious if the latest version of TMPGEnc Xpress4 still has this issue with MKV?  I would like to not have to go through the MKV --> MOV process if at all possible.  Does anybody have an update on this matter?

Thanks
