Hdcp Problem

When I connect just the HDMI cable to my xbox 360, playing DVDs and HD-DVDs works fine but because my reciever does not do HDMI switching I can't get the digital sound to it (TV only outputs analog of course).  When I connect the component cables to the 360 as well so that I can get the optical out, I get the message "Secure HDCP Link Not Found".  Does anyone know the solution to this problem (yes, I know I could just use the component cables and it would work but the HDMI output looks better and it also upconverts regular DVDs).
