It happens  irrespective of what file I choose B4zzy. Thanks for your patience!!

Same with me.  I've got about 100 mkv's on my system, and I get the same error no matter which is selected.

Unfortunately, the .Net Framework made no difference.

OK,

Here is what I have gathered so far...

Both of you have Vista Ultimate, 32 and 64 bit. The error occures when the application tries to load an MKV file and obtain attributes, but since the MediaInfo.dll is not returning the required information, the conversion from an empty String to Integer fails, as far as I can tell from the screen shot. And therefore the application fails to continue.

Is it possible for you to either show me what MKV file you are trying to convert or where you obtained it from by either pm or email at [email protected]?

This will help me work out where the errors foundations lie.

Thanks

Ok, I have found the problem...

The MKV file used has AAC audio, which the application does not support, tomorrow I will implement this, and release it here again.

Thanks for the feeedback...

Ah.  That makes perfect sense.  I encoded all of my mkv's with aac.  :-D

hi B4zzy

Does this reduce the audio down from 5.1?

Cheers

isnt XviD4PSP already can do this?

i already can convert all my HD X264 AAC-LC MKV Animes to .MP4 with it.
and its just "repack" the container, so there no-recompressing. so its very fast too

but if the audio/video is not an playable X360 codec, it will convert it.

thanks

yeah, usually i just watch it without subtitle when the anime is easy to understand.
but for anime like codegeass i just let XviD4PSP re-encode the video to make it hard-subbed

currently x360 only support subtitle in DVD.

there no srt subtitile support, no mp4 embedded subtitle support

If I were to use GOTsent rather than a full re-encode would the Xbox 360 be able to read the video file from a burned DVD? I ask this because I wasn't sure if the dvd could read data at the bandwidth. I understand that streaming from TVersity as well as a USB drive would be fine.

I have this question about this app you created also.  Does it keep the 5.1 surround as the track or does it turn it into stereo or something else.  How does this deal with the audio?

Thanks for the application.  Sounds like an interesting one which I will give a try once I know that it will keep the 5.1 surround untouched.

As per the restrictions of the Xbox360 codec pack only AAC LC(in other words shitty quality) 2CH audio can be used. The only formats that support 5.1 channel on the 360 is WMV and Divx/Xvid. However Divx/Xvid is broken with anyfiles over 2Gigs in size with AC3 5.1 surround so if you want to use Divx/Xvid with AC3 you will have to keep the file below the 2gig mark so splitting the file will be needed with HD movies.

I personally recode to WMV for all my MKV sources. I personally want the 5.1 sound and not have files split into pieces. and with that I am left with WMV only. I think MS did this on purpose to force the WMV codec into the spotlight.

hey.  i'm new to this board, and found it by looking for a way to convert mkvs for my 360.  i downloaded this program, and it seemed to work fine, however it never created a file in my source file.  i downloaded and tried GOTSent as well, and had the same exact problem with this program.

i downloaded xenonMKV, and had success, however it split my mkv file (the bourne ultimatum) into two files, and only the second one would play on my 360.  the first gave me status code: 69-C00D10E1.

i would rather use x360, as it is very compact and easy to use, but it seems that xenonMKV is the only thing that will work for me.  any ideas?

i am using XP.

thanks a lot.

Ok, I know its been long but here it is... give it a try,

Vista users, open as administrator.

64bit users need to download MediaInfo.dll x64 version here

x360 v0.5 beta

Give it a go and let me know...
