Video Stretch Issues
« on: July 07, 2008, 09:39:00 PM »

Like most people on here, I'm used to the functionality of XBMC, which had a calibrate video option so videos fit perfectly on my screen. Having some trouble with this on the 360... wondering if anyone has discovered a fix for this?

I am running my 360 using HDMI in native 1080i resolution. I'm trying to stream some anime from my PC to the system. The video plays fine, but the problem I'm having is that the subtitles are getting chopped off the bottom of the screen. (These are hard subbed files.) I press the display button and have cycled though the options: auto, letterbox, full-screen, stretch, and native. None of the options gets the video to fit exactly right. I've gone to the display menu on the settings blade and tried the Standard, Intermediate, and Extended options for the HD settings, nothing works.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix for it?
