Have To Sign Into Live Every Time An Xvid Is Steamed?

probely because its not the console it was first downloaded on using your profile (the console may have been repaired also)

try this:

1. delete the optional media update from your console.
2. setup a new xbox live account. a silver account will do.
3. download the optional media update using the new profile.
4. restart the xbox, sign into your profile without signing into live and try to play a DiVX video.
5. if it plays, then your all done. you can delete the profile you created if you wish
