Can You Steam From An External Hard Drive Via Network?

I guess nobody knows, seems specific to Windows Vista because the same setup works fine in Windows XP Media Center 2005...

Yes u can....I have a 320 gig Seagate HD connected to my home pc through windows media player....make sure the HD is shared to just ur home network and u should see a new file on ur xbox when u want to view movies or music.

Yes, you should be.

Although I've been hit or miss.

Using WMP11 sometimes I can share my USB Drive from my PC, and sometimes I cannot.

Very frustrating.
