Looks like you need a console that hasn't been banned.

CODE

All you need to do to begin taking part in this process is the following:

1.       If you have not done so yet, register your Windows Live ID with MS Connect.

Go to http://connect.microsoft.com, click on “Sign In”, then on “Sign Up now” and follow the instructions.

NOTE – Your Windows Live ID can be any email account (including your corporate email account), and you need to be able to receive email on that account (program email communications will be sent to it).

2.       Reply to this email with your Windows Live ID. You must change the subject line to read MS CONNECT ID: “Your ID” failure to do so will result in you not receiving the rest of the registration information.

3.       Complete the registration process in the program private site.

You will receive specific instructions on how to do so once step #1 above is completed. As part of the process, you will need to accept an end user license agreement (EULA) covering the terms for participation in the program.

Once the step above is completed you will be issued a unique 25-digit Xbox Live redemption token which will enable you to download the emulator software from the Xbox Live Marketplace.  You will also be able to access all site features, including the ability to download the needed PC software which will allow you to view logs created by the emulator.

NOTE –  Steps 1 through 3 will need to be completed for every individual in your organization who will need access to the program private web site.  Also, a separate 25-digit redemption token must be issued for every Xbox 360 you wish to install the emulator software on.

That’s it!

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you are as excited about this tool as we are to deliver it to you.

Thanks,

The Microsoft HD DVD team

I started using it today.  Was a little hectic to get the software but i can say that is worth the wait..

Ripped batman begins hd-dvd into the computer.  Ran the emulator on my 360 accessed the movie ripped folder and the movie played flawlessly.

All the features from hd-dvd worked.  I went thru every feature on the hd-dvd worked very good.

I'm ripping my transformers hd-dvd movie to the computer and will test it out in while.

This is what i'm using:

a) Anydvd 6.3.15 to rip the movie in to the PC harddrive
cool.gif Configure the new content in the emulator (yes you have to configure the specific folder the movie is located and enter the user::password like a samba server.)
c) Network is thru cable.  Haven't tested with a wireless pc or wireless adapter yet.
d) The PC i'm running as the server is not powerfull i mean AMD sempron 2600+ 1.84 Ghz with 512 ram.

The only downside is space.  I find it really cool that you can run the movie like if it were from hd-dvd drive.  But definetly space will be an issue. Batman alone was 25gb. Man who would have though that a movie was gonna take 25gb!!!!!

It doesn't really seem to be an automated process with the emails.  If you send the request on a friday night, you dont get the reply till monday. I think there was a total of 3 emails, that you had to go through to get the code.  I have downloaded it but haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.

QUOTE(Deihmos @ Mar 5 2008, 05:33 PM) *

People still use XBMC? I put the Xbox in the closet when Xvids were enabled on 360.

I still have my original xbox with xbmc for SD xvids and divx videos, but for a 40 inch LCD HDTV xbox 360 will play all those nice HD videos. XBOX 1 just doesnt have the power(processor) to play HD conent.
