I just killed my HD while doing a trick LED mod to the case.  I polished my jewel clear & cut out a hole under the jewel just slightly smaller in diameter so the jewel has a shelf to rest.  I installed 8 red LED's right under the shelf, wired in parallel & it looks really cool!  problem is that when I was installing it my kids were spassing around me & I bumped the console when it was hot while I was testing the LED circuit & shorted the +5 & grd. and now I get error 07-HDD timeout.  My fault I know I know.  good thing I have a 100G drive coming in a few days!  the glowing clear/red jewel looks great though!
