As far as i know it will but only if it is a backup dvd i.e decrypted first then re burnt.

Yes. And it doesn't need to be dvd-r, even pressed NTSC region free discs can be played on a PAL 360.

not always, 360 plays most o fhtem, but god damn it would not play my michal winslow dvd because of wrong region.

Ok ive tried it.. it plays region free ntsc movies. But not very good, atleast not on an interlaced crt..its not smooth there are small frame drops here and there. even when iv set it to pal60. I guess there is no 3:2 pull down...

pal discs are smooth as butter..
