IDK.. Seems to me like the other companys making movies is just tossing Sony a bone here to save there failing brand. If it wasn't for this, SONY would be going the way of the dino.

Sony pulled some big favors here. From the begining, everything was against Sony even the world board. Bunch of brats. This was the nail in the coffin for me with Sony. I will never buy a Sony product for sure (I stopped 3 years ago).

ehh....Sony owns half of the biggest of film studios and well before M$ made friends....it was theirs to begin with...Look at Disney....kinda hard to put up a fight with them, being as hardcore as they are.....LOL...buy a Disney/Pixar BD movie....it's retarded....the first 15min is nothing but BD lovin'.....

I'm not a big Sony fan either...My hatred started back in car audio, then progressed to AV receivers, and their logic, and ease of use.....But as much as I don't like to say it, and despite my early adapter's experience with the PS3...it's turning into a rather nice console....The 360 all of a sudden looks like an email spam blocker's vault of blocked spam. I have other reasons for my spontaneous like for the PS3...and IMO, the 360 is far more advanced....but that's for a different topic....

BD=more expensive, but has a better future, thanks to it's storage capabilities
HDDVD=cheaper and does the job, it should have been the standard until something better comes along, probably within the next couple of years...

Seems like it's going to be another bad decision...just as VHS was a bad decision...BD probably will be too....I only hope that these giant corps...learn one day....
You know, it would be an entirely different story, had BD not cost so much more...
