I´d be interested in streaming content (divx movies) from a linux/ubuntu box too. Is there any client that makes this possible? On the old XBox i use a samba share, but sadly this is not an option for the 360. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I dont need any transcoding, just a way to make the 360 connect to a directory on an ubuntu box. It should be able to play all the files there...

thx for any info,
soul

I suppose I will throw my hat in the ring here. Yes there is a lot of information on the ubuntu and other linux forums.

I highly recommend using an app called fuppes. It is a powerful uPnP connector that can transcode files on the fly.

To get specific install instructions for Ubuntu see this, http://fuppes.ulrich...Gutsy_Gibbon.29

To configure for Xbox 360 see, http://fuppes.ulrich...rosoft_Xbox_360

This works well, now we just need support for x264 files....
