did you format the drive? it doesnt appear that way.

make an evox boot cd (not slayers) and add the following to the menu in evox.ini...

CODE

Item "Install New drive",@213

and this to the very end of the ini...

CODE
[Action_10]

Info "Install HDD - Xbox-Scene"
Warning "This will format all drives"
Warning "Make sure you have a backup of C & E"
Progress "Formatting drives"

ConfigSector "\backup\disk.bin"
Format c:
Format e:
Format f:
Format g:
Format x:
Format y:
Format z:

delete the format g: line if you dont want a g partition

thats just it though, the "prepare HD" menu option says that it'll automatically install evox & the apps, but just formats the drive then returns to the main menu. And theres no option thats says install Evox dashboard

yeah slayers 2.5, (got it the day before yesterday)

I've also tried the Evox "New harddrive" bootdisk. It just doesn't install anything.
After formatting the harddrive, it does nothing, so i reboot, and get the error 13 again. sad.gif

Did you backup your original xbox c:\?
If so, copy it (C:) all back over.

I have had error code 13 when trying to patch my original xboxdash.xbe file. My xbox kernel doesn't support doing anything like this, so it spat the dummy. I backed everything up before I started messing around with it, so I had no problems correcting it.

It seems to me as though you've formatted c: Which means the msdash can not load, mainly because it isn't there anymore.

Does any of that make sense? I'm only speaking from my own, limited, personal experience.

Hmm.

So what are your ftp settings, in evox, then?

Have you disabled your firewall?

I don't know if it's going to make a big difference, but try making the default gateway 192.168.0.4 (your computer).

Other than that... What I'll do is take a look at my settings when I get home.

The nic becomes enabled when the thing it's connected to is on. When I boot up into msdash it becomes enabled. I don't think it means anything special. I think that if you plug the cable into your cat/dog it would enable.

Are the settings on your computer okay?

I'm at a brick wall until I check out my configuration.

Not meaning to treat you like a retard but, are you sure that it's a crossover cable and not just a standard network cable?

Also I don't know if this will help but, I had trouble for a little while until I disabled my 1394 connection.

I'd better stop giving advice until I get home and see my setup.
