Media Help Since New Update
« on: December 05, 2007, 04:52:00 PM »

it's probably been asked before

but i'm kinda struggling here

i don't quite understand all the different file types, and formats etc

i've got files here on disk (.avi's) but when i put them in my 360 they aren't working

i thought these were supported, can .avi's come in different formats or somethin?

sorry for the question if its been answered before

if so could you point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Mitch

I have the same problem. I have a whole slew of videos in .avi format and only about half of them play. The other half say the are not a supported codec. What is the deal with this? It sucks. They should all work.

Thanks for the replies

i can see the files on the disk, and i am able to stream them using orb

but when i put the disk in the 360, it says unsupported sad.gif

they play on my pc too, so they arent corrupted

p.s. how do i check what version of divx they have been encoded with?
