Fixing Xvid/divx Files That Wont Play On 360

complete noob. can you post a step by step process on how to do so??I have VirtualDub 1.7.8. Thanks much!!

Just try running them through AVI ReComp.  It has a nice GUI and is easy to figure out.  Link is in the DivX FAQ in my sig.

ran Gspot on them and they were MP3 VBR (Variable Bit Rate)

Run them thru Virtualdub and convert the audio to CBR MP3  now all play with no further modification only takes about 12mins per movie file

So if you are stuck with any divx/xvid that wont play check to make sure you have not got the same problem,  Virtualdub fixes it nicely.

You forgot to mention direct stream copy for video when re-attaching the cbr mp3 stream.
