whats with the proliferation of MKV's nowadays ?
it seems that if you want to dled an episode of your favorite tv program that you might have missed, then its low quailty Divx or high quality MKV.

don't these people realize we all have 360s and don't have the time or patience to mess about converting either.....

what are peoples feelings about the situation ?
will MKV with 5.1 ever become supported ?

will we see XBMC for the 360 at any point...
with hopefully support for just about anything !!!!!!!

as i dont really play that many games on my 360 and its main use at the moment is as a media extender (5% games 95% media) im starting to feel the 360 just inst the box for the job.

maybe its time to send the 360 downstairs to the main TV where the kids can wreck it and replace it with something else on my TV.

The MKV format does support 5.1 audio. MKV is just a file container. Most MKV files consist of an x264 video stream with AC3 audio.

I don't see MKV being supported by 360- that is until there's a homebrew media app.
