Ripping Cd's To Xbox Hard Drive

ok  so i use my laptop to burn cds [Window media player][mp3]then i put it in the xbox drive [samsung] and i hit rip.........sometimes it rips the whole cd and sometimes it doesnt rip like a couple songs [6]...........and i dont know why it does this ,can someone help me plz ?
