I Try To Download Legal Hdwmds

what is the problem here? If the xbox 360 can play hdwmv's from the hdd than why not from current disc? or from mixed media disk?

one thing could be that X360 only plays 2 (i think) kinds of WM formats. while their are a shit load of different formats. all with .wmv as the extension

However, why do you want to burn HD matrial on dvd discs?... they cant playback in HD anyway.

Stream instead.

I've used the Encode360 script outlined onthis site and was able to burn the media on to a DL DVD+R (verbatim of course wink.gif ).

You can actually view the WMV using the VIDEOS > MIXED MEDIA DISC link in the dashboard. No need to stream using MCE.

WORKS GREAT! I'm in the process of converting all my .mkv's and .ts's to HD WMV.

I think the issue you're having with the "legal" hd wmv's has to do with some type of DRM.

tht would make sence thanks, and yeah i know M$ uses probably 100 different codecs for wmv's
