try using windows network setup... I had the same issue. all of a sudden i see my xbox.... (unfortunately last night i lost connectivity between the pair again mid way through watching a film)..... i'll try network setup wizard again and see if that clears the issue. Are you using a netgear router???

Strange after loosing connection to my xbox for the 5-6th time i simply run the network wizard from my network places and hey presto its all connected fine again now....

Im sure this isnt the same as everyones issues but hope this helps.... I have no idea why my laptop just seems to drop the network frame even though it still connects to the internet via my router etc its just not visible to the xbox in this state??? like it no longer shows the resiential gateway in my network places until you run the wizard again  uhh.gif

on the previous times i have messed around with re-configuring the router from a blank start as well as re-loading WMP11 and rolling back etc etc and eventually it connects after many hours....

I think i have finally pin pointed the issue in that the laptop drops the windows network for some unkown reason and requires a new network to be setup.
