Possible To Set What Folders Are Shared?
« on: January 07, 2007, 01:18:00 AM »

my friend is having the same type of problem, except with videos. he has a whole bunch of wmv's on an external hard drive that he keeps attached to his computer, but can only stream videos that are in the "My Videos" folder. i am assuming that there is an easy answer for both. this may not help, but i was reading a pc magazine earlier today and there was a little blurb that said you select what folders are able to share. i run media center myself, or just plug in my external hd directly into the 360 itself, but i am sure there is some option within the media player 11 menues to fix it.

I read that TVersity works on Vista x64 - you might try that.   That allows you to share specific folders.  Note that I think you have to have WMP11's sharing feature turned off with TVersity.
