got a buds broken xbox, never been modded. Has no video, but powers on and all lights are green, dvd drive will not eject. I pulled the dvd and thru it in one of my working xboxes it is dead, will not read any media at all. when i plug in his original hdd to my modded xbox with the mod chip on or off it says the xbox need service. Is this because the original hdd of one xbox can't be swapped to another and boot for locking purposes?
final question. on my buds broken xbox. if i unplug the hdd and dvd drive and the ide cable, the xbox still boots with green light but no video. i have checked the av and power cables with working ones, all seems well... is the the motherboard? what should i check for?
