WMP11 is also standard on Vista.  And that's what I'm using to stream audio to my 360.  If anyone cared.

But, my original problem was that when I would connect to my laptop through the 360 to stream music, it would show up as no artists. Anyone having a similar problem or know a fix?

You will not beable to install WMP11 Or Windows Media Connect on Windows Server 2003 trust me i've tried it:-) You can however install "TVersity Media Server" on Server 2003 and you will beable to stream Music,Pics And WMV Videos to your xbox 360.

Wow, thanks a lot! That works great for music. Now I've just got to figure out this transcoding service. Can it stream divx/xvid then?
