i have problem when i updated rollup2 from MS.  I think you should uninstall rollup 2 and then reinstall it from http://www.xbox.com/en-US/pcsetup/  OR reinstall the whole xbox extender software again.  Or maybe your pc is not fast enough...not sure.  It does take resource away from your pc when using media center on Xbox.

Also make sure you have all the right ports open.  Check firewall.
