Streaming Divx To Mce
« on: January 14, 2006, 05:26:00 PM »

Awesome job! Not perfect, but definately the best solution I've seen yet. Haven't had any issues yet (only used it for about 5 minutes tho).

edit: The only problem I've come across is when trying to stop the stream. I click on the mcedivx360 icon again, and it allows me to create a new list instead of bringing up the "streaming" dialogue. If I try to stream the new list it flashes the streaming dialogue for 1/2 second. If I go back to the .asx, it continues streaming the first video.

ooh, i haven't experienced that problem yet.

could you please check for an error log?
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\mceDivX360.txt

another place to check is the 'Event Log' for 'Applications' under 'Control Panel' - 'Administator Tools'

also, have you been controlling it exclusively from the XBox 360 as an Extender,
or are you using both the XBox 360 and the MCE?

Thanks,
casey

Thanks for your response. I figured it out. The movies that I happened to try to use as a "new" movie were encoded in xvid, which I hadn't installed on my MCE box. Once I installed that it started working fine.
