Order #23087

Another international "customer" here....was told that all internationals would be out on the 16th, but as I suspected mine and many others werent any of them (I think I have heard of maybe 2 or 3 internationals getting their chips shipped while idling in the smt irc channel.

I have to agree with some of the other posters here...SMT was on break so there was a delay which is understandable...then they were backordered, which again is understandable, even with the huge delay that it was...what isnt understandable or good business in the least is when they put order back "in stock" for people to buy before they finish shipping all existing orders, including internationals....even giving them the benefit of the doubt about taking longer with customs and all, its still bad business to start selling new orders while leaving others, albeit "non-americans" in the dark about their order

I ordered with express fedex back on the 24th knowing full well my order wouldnt be looked at until the 5th...I put it on express considering a number of issues, including that I figured they would attempt to put out all express orders first (since ppl payed more for less time).

SMT had been known for being one of the better mod sellers on the net back when I was looking into ordering, there was just a chip shortage, which affected all sellers, sans those with fake X2.2s, but thats another story....now SMT seems to be heading to the bottom of the pack...well, unless your american...heh

I rate them 5/10 on speed of delivery (10 days total) unsure.gif
I rate them 9/10 on price of product+shipping (very reasonable)  smile.gif

I ordered my items on 1/9 and received them today 1/19 (10 days).  That's not horrible, but they never responded to 3 emails requesting a status update or tracking number.  My order went from "pending" to "in progress" where it was for over a week (and still sits).  It never went to "shipping" thus I had no idea the actual status of my order.  I know that a lot of these businesses are a couple guys working from someone's basement, and I'm ok with that, I just wish it didn't FEEL like that with them.  I'm assuming the product is good.  I haven't tried to install my 2 modchips yet.

If you are waiting for an order, be patient.

UPDATE 1/26/2004 - I received confirmation that my order was shipped!!!  Except I already received it and installed it a week ago.  Keep on trying, system-mods!

Order 24682

I am a Canadian customer. I placed my order on January 9th and selected overnight shipping. The order is still in progress, there has been no response to my e-mail inquiries, and the toll free phone number does not work in Canada. I cannot find a direct phone number anywhere on their site.  As a result, I am extremely disappointed with System-Mods.

If System-Mods is willing to take my order and money they should provide the same level of service for me as they do all of the domestic customers. If this continues, their international business is sure to suffer.

mad.gif   I also was sent a 2.2 adapter with my 2.3 chip and never got the adapter harness.  Nolga PM'ed me a month ago saying he would send it and he never has.  He has not replied to my follow up PM's nor has the staff responded via e-mail or via asking on IRC.  I feel like they are ripping me off now.  I have to hold the enable/disable toggle switch EVERY time I boot up!!! That SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   mad.gif   mad.gif   mad.gif

QUOTE (Alkaline @ Jan 9 2004, 06:29 PM)
Order number: 21696
Very Bad experience with SMT, WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEN AGAIN!

My order shipped on the 10 dec, I recived the chip and it was a faulty chip.
I tried it on 3 differnt xboxes, 1.0, 1.2 and a 1.5. THe chip would frag every time. I am an experienced installer many people have bought premods from me so I know it wasn't the install.

Nolga PM'ed various times how he was ANGRY that I was complaining. He said he would go ahead and replace the modchip. He also asked me to delete my post, I said I won't delete my post, but I will post a follow up if I get a working chip form you.

Its now been 1 month since I shipped the chip back to him and have heard no response from him. I don't want to hear B.S. excuses like vacation, we are busy, e.t.c. if you are too damn busy then don't start a damn shop... THis is the lamest excuse any buisness can give "We were too busy" complete bs.

If Nolga doesn't ship my chip, I'm filing a credit card dispute against him/her (I dunno his/her sex)

Update:
Still no word or email from Nolga, I filled a credit card complaint against him...

Order No: 26244

Placed my order on Jan. 27 and recieved it on Feb. 2. I think that not to bad seeing how I live in Canada. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the great price and the speedy delivery. I have tried other companies but I'll definitely be  ordering from SMT from now on.
