I don't think I'll be picking these up. I have 4 wavebirds for my Gamecube and they are awesome. Long battery life, oh yeah and cordless.  wink.gif  They work perfect for me because my son likes to grab at everything within his reach, so it allows me to play GC while he's awake. I have to wait until he goes for a nap or is out for the night to play my Xbox.

Why can't MS just make a wireless Controller like Nintendo did? I'd buy 4 of em the day they were released.

I hate 3rd party hardware.

Yeah, I'm not usually one who goes for third-party hardware either.  I have two Wavebirds for my Cube as well, and I love them.  This Logitech controller is probably the first thrid-party controller I've purchased in years, and I'm glad I bought it.  Unlike the WaveBird, however, it does have a slightly different feel from the original wired controllers for the console.

Some employee at GameStop told me that MS is planning to make a wireless controller for the Xbox, but I've been unable to verify this with anyone else, so I'm rather skeptical.  Another thing to note is that IGN is reporting a new Bluetooth wireless controller by HipGear that can apparently carry the signal for the Live wireless communicator as well.

Yeah I have the MadCatz and based upon recommendations here I also got the Logitech's.

The LOGITECH's are OOOH so much better.

If nothing else the battery life approaches that of the wavebird.

The MadCatz are a joke by comparison.

As I posted on the "Logitech Wireless Controllers" thread (which can be found here).

A couple things: first of all, I tried out the controller on Chronicles of Riddick last night.  The sticks definitely have an analog feel to them.  Secondly, I decided to get to the bottom of this, and take some pictures of the controller's inside.  Here are the pics, for your viewing pleasure:

Oh, and pay special attention to this one:

Now, I'm no electrical engineer, but those really look a lot like potentiometers.
