Round Connecter Xbox To Female Usb Connector

Just go buy a xbox controller extension cable and cut that up instead.  You should be able to find them for under $10.

The USB cable has a ground and 4 colored wires.  The XBox cable has the same, except for an extra, and that one is yellow.

Match everything up except the yellow, and you're good to go.

Just buy the adapter here for 6.99 or a set here for 13.98.

I've just tried making this xbox usb -> usb A connect twice and it doesn't seem to be working correctly.  I know I matched up the wires correctly ... and I soldered them together, so I know thats totally fine as well.

All that happens is that my keyboard led lights keep flashing at random intervals ... is this supposed to happen?  Is it alright to use a ps2 keyboard with a ps2-> usb converter?  And should Evox even be able to do anything with my keyboard when I plug it in?  I am starting gentoox linux from my Evox launch menu ... and so I know it should work in linux.

There are just some keyboards that work, and some that don't.  My dad brought this one home, but it didn't work:

But I can use the keyboard from my sister's mac just fine, and I have the mouse hooked up to that keyboard.

QUOTE (algee @ May 29 2003, 05:05 PM)
ugh ... well I had to go out and buy a usb keyboard.  Luckily the one I got worked fine with linux, not evox though.

And for anyone else who tries ... ps2 to usb adapters don't work sad.gif

Wrong answer !!
I cut a usb cord and soldered it to port 4 of my xbox. Then tieribbed it to the back of my and connected a usb to ps2 connector from sitecom (http://www.sitecom.c..._id=29&grp_id=1) . Connected my cordless desktop from Medion and voila... worked fine. Gentoox is now running on my xbox  biggrin.gif .
