Hello,
How are the Feet LEDs installed?
Thank You.
beerchug.gif

Well, you buy the Acrylic LED feet at directorn.com.

Now to install them takes some work and case modification. Basically you do so like this.
Take out the four corner screw on the bottom of the xbox, this is where the feet will go.
Now where the screws once were, we need to make those holes bigger, so drill them out until a 5mm LED cant fit in them.
Apply the feet with the provided double sided tape into the now larger screw holes.
Now remove the DVD and HD and remove them both from their respectable trays.
Place them in front of you as if they were in your xbox (xbox facing you).
Drill out the two holes on the left for the DVD tray (where the screws would go through to the top of the case)
Do the same thing for the HD tray but only the two right holes.
Now your pretty much complete, all you need to do is find somewhere's to put the switch and plug in the power cable for the feet.
I ran my switch between the ethernet adapter in the back.

Well this is a quick list of what needs to be done. Suppose if there was an interest I could write a tutorial with pics. anyhow hope this helps.

QUOTE (Dooser @ Dec 2 2003, 04:15 PM)
just wondering cyon:

is the big price jump from $30 to $50 on mod-installs because of the shipping fee to send it back to the customer?

also, how much do you expect it to cost to ship an xbox?

Dooser,

All X-S forum members get the prices listed on this thread. The cost of $50 on my website is to cover shipping and packaging to send the Xbox back.

If anyone orders from my website be sure to leave me your X-S forum member for special prices.

Phil did a great job on my xbox.  He is quick and extremely courteous.  For those outside of Houston, do not have any reservations about mailing your xbox to Phil.  You will have your xbox back in days.

Thanks Phil.
