i'm gettin me a broken ps2 this weekend for rather cheap and everything works but it has a blown fuse in it that you have to solder (my friend says).  he'll show me what to do but i dont solder so i was wondering if you're up for that and/or soldering a mod for ps2.  thx and hopefully you can help me with the solding that blown fuse.

hey bro, ive spent about 5 hours trying to get this damned x2.2 lite + installed. i can get all the lights to work (albeit backwards, the d0 light will only come on when the chip is disabled), but my box reboots twice and then frags everytime i boot with the chip enabled. i know there is nothing wrong with the box as it boots normally when the chip is either removed or disabled.

so im thinking that the bios that came on the chip is either bad or non-existant. that, or the chip itself is bad. i live in scottsdale (68th st. and indian school), and wonder if you could give me a hand with this. i have no problem paying you $20 for an install, just let me know when and where!!!

feflicker i have one more question to a 2.2pro mod.d0 you use the pogo pin adapter or do you solder the cables?

I always solder it in with the pin-header on the lpc bus, that is my preference... I Solder a wire to d0 as well...  wink.gif

feflicker,

I have a old xbox 1.0 I tried to install a homebrew mod chip 29 wire. and I lifted some pads do u think you are able to repair it? if not are you able to take off the memory if it is not fixable and add the 64mb to my newer machine I have now. I use a matrix chip now, and I would like a few thing done to my newer xbox also. I live in tuscon.
I have a friend that live's near you in peoria. I taking a vacation in a couple of weeks and maybe we could hook up my e-mail is [email protected]

maybe before I come out there in a couple weeks we could talk by phone if that's ok.

I have never soldered in the RAM before, but quite frankly, I don't think I want to try it. I hope you understand, too much risk.

There is someone on the forum, I think one of the Xbox-Linux guys, who lives in Texas that has done this several times. Just make a post and I think you might even be able to get it done for free  wink.gif

As far as lifted traces, all you can really do is try to bridge the traces with 32 gauge wire, and hope it works. I can look at that for you if you want. And the new, working xbox, I can probably help you out there as well. Just PM me with details, that way we aren't hashing an entire deal out in this thread  beerchug.gif
