No! I'm imagining you're not at the top of the game when it comes to technical knowledge. The XBOX HD-DVD Player will play regular standard-def DVD's and HD-DVD's. You need a Blu-Ray Player (or PS3) to play Blu-Ray's, or you could go pre-order the snazzy Samsung BD-UP5000 at Amazon.Com for a nifty $799 which plays BOTH Blu-Ray & HD-DVD's.
