Currently playing back xvid from both DVD, USB stick and WMP11 with no problems including 720p versions of Finding Nemo and the Matrix.

Will download some DIVX HD demos and see how they fare.

Two things that were on my list of wants.

arcade games played before the update will never be removed, any thing played after the update will not show up.

I dunno if this will help but try re-downloading the game (as in, delete and then download again) and see if it works.

My standard definition xvids are not being scaled to fit the screen. XBMC still does it better.

I had no problem playing xvid or .avi through transcode 360, but I still cannot get it to play directly after the update.  I get the "Cannot Play Video" message stating that the file is not recognized and saying that I may need the correct codecs, etc.  

I am running Vista Ultimate Media Center.  Is there a certain set of codecs that I need to go out and get in order to make this work properly?

Eventually this update will be included on game DVD's so yes, you will get it eventually even if you can't connect to live.

I'm not sure, but you may also be able to download an ISO from Microsoft to burn it and update yourself.

Or - you could take your harddrive and connect it to a 360 that isn't banned and get the update.

Xvid playback is great, FINALLY !!!!

But how the $&%# do you set it to remember the display setting (auto, letterbox, stretch) it defaults to AUTO so every 2nd file I play is in a small size, then I have to press display on the remote, then go to screen and cycle through to a full screen one..

Is there a fix for this ?

hi, i havent yet tried the update as im not currently at home but before i update got a quick question...

whats all this about the trial arcade bug?

am i right in thinking once you update you cant delete them from the list?

and also am i better deleting them before i do the update?
