RULES UPDATE:
we STILL do not allow piracy talk. However, We will allow the following..

-People can discuss their firmware related issues, and only in the proper forums for it. (Firmware and Backups forums ONLY)
-People can discuss and state their firmware, drives, and method of construction for their backups, and whether or not they have taken the box or the backups in question on LIVE.

This is a big change to our XS Piracy related rules, as it will allow the membership free speech to mention they are using pirated backups. However.. they CANNOT do the following..

-People CANNOT list the GAME/PIRATE RELEASE GROUP for any image downloaded. We are not here to help people figure out what pirate releases, and what groups are deemed ok and passable on LIVE, and which aren't. People are encourage by XS, to learn to use the doc, tuts, and tools provided to make thier OWN backups in accordance with the specs as outlined by C4Eva's work.
-People CANNOT promote piracy, promote backups on LIVE. Prolonged comments, whether ethical, financial, or political about using backups on LIVE (a clear violation of LIVE TOS) will get you a ban. So choose every word on these issues carefully. There is no Reprieve. There is also no reversal of XS bans for people banned on this forum previous to this posting.

As always, links to piracy sites, direct downloads, torrents sites or trackers etc will of course earn a full ban on XS. All of the other XS rules are in full effect.

Look all of you newbie posters need to read the rules about your posts.

all of these banhammer posts start out nice, then end up in a discussion about your "aquired" games. Moderators are on the prowl for these types of posts and you WILL get your account deleted. muhaha.gif

*UPDATE*
It appears that modified fw is NOT being detected, and is instead once again due to 'bad' discs. Keep in mind that the only full proof way to make a 1:1 backup is to do it yourself. iXtreme is as fullproof as it can be, in that it validates everything it possibly can from a firmware point of view, but a game can have slight data change somewhere, most commonly in DMI. Or it can be due to early copies being watermarked so to speak.

This is why you run the risk of being banned on xbox live if you pirate games. Always remember that you run a risk doing such actions.

In regards to game data being properly validated, xdvdmulleter is a tool that has a constantly maintained database to validate backups against retail copies to ensure full stealth. If you have a samsung SH-D16x and would like to contribute to the project to prevent future Live bans, please join #stealth360 on Efnet, IRC.

Has anyone noticed the update on the original news story.

Hey yall, I just updated to iX 1.3 on my Sammy MS28, and have a few questions. I dont know if Im banned yet, I left my Xbox at my mothers house over vacation, it hasnt been connected to live in a few days, so I hope its okay. Anyway, what is worrying me, is a few of my backups.

My Dead Rising backup stop working, out of the blue once I updated to 1.2 a while back. I assumed it was because I failed to stealth patch it, is that correct? If I failed to stealth patch it, and it refuses to play, am I safe? Or is it by simply TRYING to boot it, it logged the failed sectors, and im probably going to be banned? Im at a loss, and am worried I will have to buy a new console. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do apologize if this is the wrong place to post, the other thread was shut down? My backups are my own, but like I said, I must have failed to stealth patch Dead Rising. My other backups play fine (Assassins Creed, COD4 etc).

Add in the last 3 back up games you played.
Do not mention how you made them. We don't want to know.
Do not add in to your post " Played Online"
 Simply state
Last 3 Back Ups: COD77. PGR77 etc.
The guys collating info will make sense of the data and draw the conclusions required to help with further development and no rules are broken here.
 Everyone is happy
Oh and can we keep it all in one thread please.
No questions on newbie stuff just plain and simple info.
