« on: June 20, 2004, 11:22:00 PM »

I know there is a huge community of casemodders out their who are trying to get their hands on console cases but just couldn't get the source. Well, good tidings to all:

Great for folks out there who want to continue trying out their casemod ideas but have only one box to work with!

Visit us at

http://www.e-linksoft.com/xbox/

and

http://www.e-linksoft.com/casemod/

for a preview of the crystal cases (normal black cases will also be available)

Dude,

Give me a break.

It's an amateur site...done by me.

Will appreciate any inputs on how to improve on the site, as long as they are not beyond my capabilities.

THanks for your constructive comments.

Still making efforts to learn about website design. Will strive to make this site as professional as I can.

For now, the actual price has not been confirmed yet as details are still being worked out. Actual box design, mould block and production, materials etc.

But reckon it to be around the USD80-100 region per case. (without shipping charges).

FYI

Are these MS made cases, or cases made by you?

Also I would get rid of that part about the site not being for ladies.  Makes it look dumb.  <

Thanks for your suggestion dude.

But this site is not even completed yet (the ladies thingy is just for the fun of it...c'mon dude, I'm sure you have a sense of humor)

Anyway, the boxes are definitely not made by MS...

and it will not be a 100% replica... for example...we are in the process of designing a slot for up to 2 USB ports and a switch hole for LED on/off. In addition, the jewel hole will be just that: a hole! (to save you guys the trouble of drilling and cutting). In addition, the top cover may now be removable (like a cap) instead of having to remove the screws from the bottom. Also, we'd like to be able to add an extension (stacked over the original box) with the top cover cap design so that additional hard disk/DVD roms can be added over time if the owner requires it.

Other than some of these simple mods, the case will be made as stock as possible (no increase of size). Expect a more versatile case with a choice of black/crystal/green cases.

Just a few suggestions for your site... Dont take it the wrong way just my point of view.

1.  Your site looks like a person website more then a business site... try making one set background for all the pages and brigten it up a little bit.

2.  I had a hard time finding the catalog, mayb you should make it a little bit bigger and change the color

3. The ladies thing at the top may be found offending to a ladie who happens to go to your site.  I know a few women who are very into case modding.

4. It is a little to flashy and unorganized.  Maybe try and sort it out a little bit becuase all of those things distract me from doing what you want me to do,  Buy things.

5. What your selling is a great deal and I am interested in buying one in the future.  You just have to display it in a different enviroment.  Like a business enviorment.

Thats all I can come up with right now.  Those are just a few suggestions that I personally would recomend.  The opinion of others might and probably will be different.

Thanks for your input.

I think they are precious for an amateur webber like myself.

I have done some changes and removed some of the clutter.

Hope it looks easier on the eye now...

Thanks for all the inputs and help.

Just a question, does anyone out there know if the mounting for the motherboard (ie. the position of the 11 screws) as well as the powerboard (2 screws I think) the same for all the versions of the xbox (esp. v1.6)?

This is important as there are alot of implications for the production line...

Thanks!
