Nah he answered it. They will play on any version of TV. The wireless controllers plugging in is such a great idea. I think i'll be buying the wifi kit just for lan parties, even though I'll still need my wifi access point, its still better than cables running everywhere!

And spearhead: was there need to quote the whole damn lot? I hate it when people do that cos it just takes up unnecessary space.

The thing is with the wireless controllers and batteries may be a problem, cos im sure we all know, most rechargable batteries can die quickly, not lasting as long and just not holding their charge, but i'll just have to look for some better more expensive ones!

P.S. Great work twistedsymphony!

I think MS making the hard drive be included is a great idea.

Also, did you mention the whole XBOX LIVE silver being free etc?

I just got OXM so I thought I'd add a few, some may already be there but firstly I thought I'd correct you on one.

Will there be a wireless headset?
Yes, it will be available some time after launch and will use XBOX 360's wireless technology.

Will there be a keyboard?
Yes, it will snap onto your XBOX 360 controler.  It will be a full QWERTY keyboard.  So you will be able to send text messages or text chats while you play.

What about the charger?
There will be an "XBOX 360 quick charge kit.  Comprising of a charger, play and charge cable and rechargable battery pack.  The batter will be able to be charged in 1 to 2 hours.  The plug and play cable will be about 3 metres long but will not be break away like the XBOX and if you wish, two battery packs can be charged at once and this should take 2 to 4 hours.

I didn't see the black and white buttons on the control, where are they?
The black and white buttons have been relocated to be just infront of the Left and right trigger buttons, they are now shoulder buttons, similar to the PS2 controller.

Tell me about XBOX Live Silver.
XBOX LIVE silver is a free online service that lets you do everything up to playing head to head online.  So if you want to play online you need to upgrade to gold.

How much will gold cost and if I already have XBOX LIVE can I transfer it?
XBOX LIVE Gold edition will cost the same as what it does now, and you already have a gold account if you currently have XBOX Live.

What about this whole idea of selling things
You can create things on your PC with programs such as Adove Illustrator and can then transfer them to your XBOX 360.  Here you can go online and sell them by creating a small shop.  So, in an essence, you can pay off your XBOX LIVE bill by making things to sell to people.

Launch titles please!
THe following are officially confirmed.
Quake IV
Tiger Woods PGA tour 2006.
Madden.
NBA Live 2006.

DoA:  Code Chronas.

Splinter Cell 4.

And official launch titles:  Prefect Dark Zero, and Kameo:  Elements of Power.

What will be included in the launch package?
I'm quoting J Allard here as saying: "We will ship XBOX 360 with a 20GB hard drive, console, and a wireless controller with 2 AA rechargable batteries".  Of course you would also expect a game to be inthere somewhere.

What can I plug into my XBOX?
What can't you plug into your XBOX more likely.  MP3 players, video and still cameras, USB flash drives, you name it, anything that involves USB practically.

Any other tidbits?
Sure thing, MS are looking towards corss platform gaming between XBOX 360 and PC further along the line.  They are also looking at having instant messaging and video chats between XBOX 360 and computers using Instant Messengers such as MSN and AIM within a year or 18 months of launch.

There, I'm done, I hate reading and typing at the same time, anyway hope you guys like it.

Will the standard wireless controllers with the XBox come with the charger cable to wire it to the XBox, so just in case the batteries run out, we can plug the controllers in?

As for the OXM issue... what's the claimed "source" of the info... are they speculating or was this based on fact from a named source... I've read things OXM has claimed before but it turns out only be speculation.

The reason I ask is that "launch titles" list is definitely NOT accurate. Also they said that they "Expect" the console to be packaged with a game... HA! As far back as I can remember the SNES was the last console to launch packaged with a game.  dry.gif

For "launch window" titles MS said they would have between 25 and 40 titles. Considering that OXM list has about 50 I'd say it's dubious at best. Now I know they said there would be 6 EA titles. I think we can expect DOA4 at launch as well as Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3.
NBA 2K6 is probably coming out before 2006 just based on the name sake.
That doesn't leave us with any RPGs. We know that Mistwalker, Q Entertainment and Square Enix are all working on RPGs so I'm sure we'll at least one of the following: Lost Odyssey, Ninty Nine Nights, Final Fantasy XI (my money is on FFXI and another one)

So that Gives us:
Dead or Alive 4
FIFA Soccer
The Godfather
Kameo
Madden 2006
NBA 2K5
NBA Live 2006
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Perfect Dark Zero
Project Gotham Racing 3
Tiger Woods 2006
[AN RPG or 2]

AFAIK nothing else has been official set in stone...
