Halo 3 And The Ps3 Launch
« on: May 20, 2005, 11:47:00 AM »

Ok, I don't know if I'm the only person that thinks this, but I don't agree that it is a good idea to release Halo 3 at the same time as PS3 for this reason: PS3 is only a year away, and Bungie should not be rushed. We want Halo 3 to be perfect. We want the same feeling we got playing Halo "this is awesome", not some rushed garbage to attempt to get the PS3 out of the picture. We want Bungie to be able to fully utilize the X360 hardware, and have time to perfect the game. Finally, we don't want a rushed 3rd game in the series to destroy the whole Hao experience. Who agrees?

Yeah point taken, and this is Bungie. They won't release a rushed game.. or at least not release a game that didnt take very long to produce and is also crap

i dont see the marketing advantage of releasing th esame day ps3 launches

i mean, its not like the 2 products are interchangable, peopel arent gonan go to the stor to buy a ps3 and say "oh, ill get halo3 instead"

if anything it will get halo/xbox fans in stores to see ps3 demos and say "damn, that looks sweet"

I think their idea is more to see Halo 3, go "wow" and get a 360 instead. I don't think people fit into such a passive harmogenous group however, and won't be taken in so easily. But it may sway people if it's on demo systems just before the PS3 launch

Well if a person can afford to buy a 360 + Xbox Live gold account + broad band internet + extra wireless controllers + Halo 3 I think they could afford to buy a PS3 as well

i heard the xbox 360 will range between $400-$500. and that Xbox Live is going to be $50. All I know is I'm getting Xbox 360, PS3, And Halo 3 if it is releashed the day PS3 comes out. This will delay my trip for Japan for the  3rd year straight. So I just hope Halo 3 isn't going to be as buggy as Halo 2 was. And I Thought that MP on Halo 1 was made in 3 months. Cause it had over 10 levels. And you can't create 10 maps in 3 months and do the testing.

I disagree, they rushed Halo 2 and it was the best game ever. It was the only game that I ever played until a week ago, I got bored of it from playing to much. If you bought the limited edition it comes with the disk that shows the making of Halo 2. Go watch it and you will see how they rushed Halo 2 and it still is the best FPS game that I have ever played.
