I have seen people post that they have a Halo SE that was a v1.6...I don't believe it, but I am getting ready to order a couple to mod. I have read that someone said they had on mfg date of 2/22/04 and a v1.6...I don't believe it...but I guess that I will see what everyone says.

I saw 3 of them come in with a shipment to my local gaming store. All manufactured 04-03-2004 (of course its not formatted that way on the sticker). They were also made on production line 06 and ran the 1.6 kernel so... there you go confirmation! Its utterly silly to think the Halo LEs wouldn't get the 1.6s.

Well, I thought that the Halo SE's were limited to 200,000 manufactured in Feburary.

The last halo box I modded was a 3-23-04 and it was a 1.4

If a@ron says he has seen 1.6 in the halo, then I for one believe him.

The 1.6s I've seen came in on a brand new shipment just today

my new halo SE edition IS a v1.6. manufactured 4/9/2004. bios is 5838. can't believe they have them at retail so fast. it's all fine with me cuz i wasn't going to mod this one anyways. for xb live only.

a friend of mine has an HALO SE that was made on May 6, 2004 , on screen it says 5838.01 , is it a v1.6? , is not opened yet cause of warranty.

Ya the one i just picked up from the store yesterday is a version 1.6, with a date of 04/07/2004....gotta love it, i was going to mod it, but looks like i'll be keeping it stock till they come out with a solution for the 1.6.

however, i have read the team xecuter site, and according to them the no solder option 2.3 will work on version 1.6, however, im not sure if i want to attempt this, and have it not work. has anyone out there done it successfully???

The can boot chips off the lpc, but the problem is that no one has written a bios that supports the new video chips yet...

I've seen 1.4's and 1.6 halo edition xbox. A guy braught 8 over from the states to canada to get modded when he was down here.
