A Little Help Connecting To Xlink
« on: September 12, 2006, 06:56:00 AM »

Hi guys
I having trouble getting on kai and when i do it keeps disconnecting every minute or so

I'm using xbmc and my setting are:
My modem ip is 192.168.1.3
My network card ip is 192.168.0.1
in xbmc i enabled xlink enter user name password and the
engine ip as 192.168.0.1

So in xbmc should i use automatic DHCP
or default dash ip or add it manual

When i start xlink kai on my pc it says "kai ui attached"
so does this mean i'm connected?

Can anyone help me out?

start by using the pc version of kai as its easier to trouble shoot than xbmc .. if it keeps disconnecting than you most likely have to forward a port on your router/modem .. www.portforward.com

are u sure those are your ips ? .. the modem is .1.1 and the rest are .0.1 ? .. they wouldnt be on the same network .. what ip did you forward the port to ? .. forward to the pc ip .. make sure you also add 30000 to the kai port box in the kai config ..
