I somewhat don't understand this topic.

The ping is strictly user to user based and has nothing to do with XLink.

Also you bandwidth has nothing what so ever to do with latency.

In example the old ISDN technology at 64 kbits were know for it's low latency with not unusual with 6 ms to the central, where as the common ADSL technology is known for it's poor latency immediately when you got the smallest amounts of traffic. You can also cap a fibre connection at 2 kbits and still have latency at 0.1 - 0.2 ms to the central.

Yes, it is somewhat normal. -Especially if you play against users from all over the country and globe.

The other thing is that most users have DSL which is a poor technology when it comes to latency. The slightest traffic and you'll have fairly high latency.

I usually play Forza with friends and the ping between us is anything from 16 - 60 ms.
