I have to say that I'm not 100% sure what your problem is.  I've had ac ouple of network probs with Kai, but none of them really relate to yours.  However, I can almost guarentee that if you post in the X-Link Kai  forum, or ask a mod to move this post to there, someone'll be able to help.  Thing is the people who know most about Kai watch that forum and not this one... everyone appreciates posts in the newbie forum when you're struggling, but there isn't always someone to help.  Think your best bet is to bite the bullet, scroll down and post in the Kai forum, if you've searched for it, and can't find an answer, then no one's going to bite your head off for posting there as well.

Sorry I can't be of more help,

Adam

1. Do not bump or "pump", and do not request an answer within hours after your own post.

2. It is still XLink. Not X-Link, or Kia for that matter.

3. Information is the key to successful help. If you want help I need info. Right now you're not scoring very high on the information bar.

Vital information like what os you are running, what network adapters you use, which tutorials you have used (if any) are missing.

So excuse me for being such an asshole but I don't see what I can assist you with.

Give me proper information and I'll give you a proper answer.

QUOTE(XL-OpBot)
Have you tried leaving the kaiport at 0 and enabling PAT in kaiConfig? Give that a try before diggin into port forwarding.

And if that doesn't work either you must forward:

QUOTE(XL-OpBot)
If you are looking for how to forward a port try http://portforward.com Just pick any port say 30000 UDP and forward it to the IP of the PC running Kai!

Destination for the routing is the ip of the pc running the engine.

Let me add that the probe in diagnostics mode telling you whether you're reachable or not isn't 100% accurate. You should therefore try to join a game between each of the steps.

You only need to run Kaiconfig when you want to change your setup.

It always displays default mode but your settings stored configuration file isn't overwritten unless you click ok again.
