busyychild: Based on the edited post above I'm sure you'll get better answers at the official forum.

But; XLink does not use a specific port. If not random, XLink uses the port you configure it to use.

Yes, XLink exchanges data via UDP.

Yes, you'll need to ask your ISP to open the port you chose for XLink if, that is  IF, they've blocked it - which is highly unlikely.
