Okay so i have tried everything to get this Kai thing to work, i downloaded the program and signed up and everything but i still cant get my console detected :angry:

I KNOW for a FACT that it is all set up properly because i can FTP to my Xbox withought any problems and as soon as i start up Xbox Connect it finds my consoles STRAIGHT away, but this Kai is supposed to be better, lol.....

So i start it up and look on the Diagnostics Mode and it say's this:

And when i click on the folder it just say's:

And YES i did have a system link game in my Xbox looking for games the same as i did with Xbox Connect, and of course my Xbox is connected right, and i have been searching for nearly THREE hours for help on that "usefull" site <_<

That's why i have posted here to see if you guy's know what the prblem is

Ok mate have you connected the ethernet cable through your router?

Or do you have it through the ethernet port on the motherbard?

I have mine hooked up through the router and it has allways worked

Turn your firewall off, if you have zonealarm, set it to medium security and it works fine

can u do something for me .. check your xbc log , does it say in there anywere anything about pssdk failing and winpcap loading .. probably what the problem is .. or go into xbc options and set it to only load pssdk , see if it still works .. you probably have an antivirus program running and it sees pssdk as a trojan because it hides itself (old news) .. this affects both kai and xbc but xbc has winpcap as a fall back in case , winpcap is older and slower than pssdk and isn't worth using IMO .. disable / uninstall any antivirus software that you have .. also firewalls .. check it out and get back to me ..

Hmm that's stranges i just tried to load up Xbox Connect and it crashes my computer

I just uninstalled it and i might try re-installing it again later but since this Kai is meant to be better i was hoping to get this running.

Anyway thanks for your help but how can i disable my antivirus i know how to do it but if i do do it i will get viruses pooring in, my computer attracts viruses like electric attracts dust, i can get them even withought going onto the internet with the antivirus disabled, i just cant turn it off

By the way i am using nortan intvirus and nortan internet sucurity, and yes i do have my ethernet cable hooked through my router.

Okay so i disabled the firewall in nortan antivirus and disabled nortan anitvirus and nortan internet sucurity, but still it cant find my Xbox, and my Xbox MUST be connected right if i can FTP withought a SINGLE problem and could play on XBC without any problems

I just tried playing Halo 2 through it and i left it at the searching for games screen and when nortan internet sucurity was enabled a pop up came up saying:

Nortan Internet Security had detected and blocked an intrusion
attempt.

But obviousley it doesnt come up when it is disabled, and i assume this is to do with the Xbox, although Kai still cant find my Xbox even with everything disabled

Right so i downloaded a newer version of XBC to see if it would work, well it installed ok and it doesnt crash when i start it up but the thing it as soon as it starts a pop up come up saying:

XBC was unable to contact the internet. This is

This is really pissing me off now because i cant play at all now, the thing is i have disabled ALL of my anitvirus and firewalls and it still say's the same

rickGamer:You need to start a game on the Xbox, then enter the systemlink menu and acutally search for a game.

If it doesn't get detected then, post a diagram on your network setup w. unit brands and model info.

uninstall all of it .. also google for Norton uninstaller .. norton is crap ..

DOS4GW are you saying i need to copy the game to my Xbox before i can use it ?

If so then i cant do that because i have a soft-modded Xbox and i am NOT gonna put a new HDD in for more space, so i can only copy one small game on my HD, so if i have to do this then i am gonna try and use XBC.

Oh and Nortan had helped me out a LOT in the past and it scans all my emails which usually have viruses in too, so i do not want to unistall it, besides my dad wouldnt let me because it is all connected up to his laptop and he doesnt want any viruses and i quite agree.

Create a simple diagram of your network setup with the unit brands and models on it.

Manually select the NIC the XBox is connected to the in Kai Config. Tool. If you don't see it there try http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/binary/nic-registry-fix.zip

What did you do? damm i got Network Reachable: Not Yet with my normal isp but i get Network Reachable: yes in my office wich is another isp, i can connect at home with xbc but not kai :angry: i have :

Adsl Moden to switch
pc and xbox to switch
not router at all.

could it be because i'm under a Nat connection?
