6ft Wire Vs 50 Ft Wire
« on: March 20, 2005, 12:47:00 PM »

Heres the story, my last 3 visits on xlink kai seem to have worked.

Usually I used to bring down my TV, xbox and wires and go thru all my outlets and plug them in. and bring it up the next day (6ft wire). So today I decided to use the 50 ft wire and let go to my room upstairs...for some reason I kept connecting and disconnecting. I managed to get into on game then get disconnected. Repeatedly.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

maybe the cable is bad .. also you don't have the cable running over any flourescent lights (i doubt it) or past any heaters or just generally anything weird .. that all can cause signal degradation ..

Let me guess. You had 45 of the 50 ft in a pile... That's called ethernet killer no.1.
