ive used xlink before and its awesome.... im trying to use kia off my xbox and i have the engine running for dashboard use on my desktop.. my xbox has the username and pass set proper and i click connect to kia engine and it says cannot connect to kia engine or cannot find kia engine or whatever.. my networks a bit complex.. besically all my computers including xbox are running into an 8 port hub.. then the line in on the hub is connected to one of the line outs on my linksys wireless router... and the linksys wireless router line in is connected to the internet.. dunno what the prob is.. everything should be running through the hub.. my xbox can see my desktop under SMB shares in xbmc no prob.. also does anyone know if avalaunch is supporting kia proper yet? oh yea im using avalaunch to connect to the kia engine..

oh and another thing... i tried it in windows media center.. and my comp detected the xbox.. but when i go to games in the kai section it says counter strike and thats all?? and then if i click on that it goes to arenas which shows 0 but in avalaunch it wont connect to the kia engine.. i really want to use ava just because its my dashboard and it looks easier.. please help!

I don't use Avalaunch so I don't know how it works, but I would say get yourself XBMC. Avalaunch support is not plentiful, adn you need one of the latest builds (if not the last one). XBMC on the other hand is constantly updating every day via CVS and is fully supporting everything we do.

Did you configurate Kaiconfig.exe? Or atleast made sure kaiUserConfig.txt was set kaiAccept=ALL?

Your network isn't very complex, alltough hubs aren't recommended. You might want to get a switch.

Ava supports Kai fairly good, but not as great as Xbmc. It has the basic needs.

What is it that ava lacks? I've been planning on just using that (as it's my main dash and looks easier to setup on the xbox end).
