First of all  laugh.gif  and second who says open source apps can't compete with M$?  huh.gif  I like Kai. It works very well. Some games I do admit have lag but you can either deal with that or leave and get into another game. Also the people on XLink are sooo much more friendly than those on XBC. I used to get kicked almost all the time on XBC for whatever reason but on Kai it's great. I even host sometimes which I never did on XBC because i was more trouble than it was worth. I love Kai and will continue to use it in the next genereation console days.  beerchug.gif

ive been using kai since the RC2 Omega stage and i always liked it, but i had never tried XBC because everyone slated it on these forums for being shit. but recently i thought id give it a try because of the amount of people that host games on shit connections - seriously, me and my housemates could NOT get a lag free game on kai, so i gave XBC a go, there are very few games with unbearble lag, and for the first time had a 16 player game of halo. however i still use both apps because i prefer the interface and community of kai and there seem to be a lot of assholes on XBC. Why do ppl have to choose between the two, why not try both.

Kai is good and all but its hard to communicate with people that dont have mics. They dont have a reliable chat service. And to the host im not even sure you can kick somebody with high ping. Thats y i would go for XBC.

dfunked you might want to edit your post up above , i think its supposed to say go back to "XBC" .. :]

GameMasta24 .. you can kick people in kai .. reliable chat system ? it has a chat room for every game instead of xbc's irc room where everyone is talking at once about "pwnin n00bz" .. also kai has a messenger mode where it is a general chat or private messages with people in your contact list ..

oh and if you do have a mic and a modded xbox you can voice chat with people in XBMC ..
