well i know u dont want to hear this but too bad... all the money your spending on usb adapters for nic cards - you could have just gone out and bought a router.  Not to mention you are putting added processing on your pc to now route information to each xbox you connect.  

GO BUY A ROUTER. they arent that expensive

Right, yeah ... if I had some foresight I'd have bought an adsl router instead of the crappy usb modem BT fobbed off on me.  However, £50 for this PLUS extra for cables isn't something I can rightly afford at the moment.  I can buy the usb adapter for about £15.

There is also an extra incentive to get the usb adapter as both of my housemates have pcs without NIC cards and it would be a handy way to quickly set up a network to swap files etc (mostly Champ Man updates).

So the question still remains - would using this usb adapter cause any latency issues?  And would my PC be able to cope with the network traffic of 2 NICs and the usb adapter?  It's a 1.5ghz P4, not great, but it's had no problems so far when we've been using two xboxes simultanaeously on Kai.
