We (XR8D) along with the help of some highly skilled individuals, are nearing the completion of a booter, that will allow us to boot the Live patch, or any live patch, to a modded xbox (for any Live game that has had an updated XBE) that does not subscribe to live.  The latest Live patch for R63 has rendered most of the cheat mods, useless.

So.. you would use this program of your to force an upgrade on others who don't want it.. against their will.. violating their privacy and the contents of their xbox?

Correct me if I have misunderstood.

Hi HSDEMONZ,

Yep you have misunderstood  tongue.gif

Basically if you run R63 and connect to live to play online you are forced to do a free system update. This update installs several new system files including a new xbe.

This update is quite good as it has stopped all known hacks & cheats (for the moment at least). The current hack's & cheat's are making Kai a pain in the arse to play on, so we thought we would try and help out.

As more and more people get the update from going on live it causes a problem for the non live uses as the 2 versions can't connect to each other.

What I am doing is working on a loader for non live users that will allow them to select the retail or XBL version to play at game boot. It is purely optional and no one is forced to use it. It just opens up the amount of people that can play online with each other.

I am not sure if I should even be talking about this here as it may violate XS rules, but I did want to give you an anwser.

Cheers

I've heard of many people trying to change their MAC, and it actually does nothing.

That's not the only banning process in place mind you...

And what about GameCube and PS2 users? Do they have a way of changing their MAC addys?

my mac address changes every time I boot up the xbox... this means i can't be banned, or it will look like i'm banned when i'm on my xbox (because my xbox will look like somebody else's).  btw, if you can tell me why this happens, i'm open to suggestions.  thanks.

Names should just be a way to identify someone. They shouldn't be a comment/statement. It should only be a way of making someone unique so you're not like, "Hey, umm.... guy. Go get the flag!". Rather, you'd say, "Hey, Prime. Get the flag!"

It helps if they're pronouncable, but english words are not always the best idea.

namzuf9 llsevenll muerte. Those say absolutely nothing about the person, but they provide a way to address them rather than pronouns.

Do theses names that you see really offend you guys.  Who gives a shit, do you really think "niggerkiller" goes around and kills niggers?  Some people need to stop being so anal and go with the flow.

All of this about a name like Hitler. Maybe they should ban the name from Schools and books, maybe even make people with Hitler for a last name change it to Smith. I mean, was my mom the only one to say "sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? I run servers all the time and I have seen a lot of name come across my box. Yeah some would be offensive if used in my work place or around my neighborhood, but this is a GAME. We shoot and kill things in the GAME, they bleed in the GAME and after the GAME is over and we are waiting for the next one to start most are talking about coming after someone in the GAME to kill them. Did you notice I said GAME? We all need to learn that no one will ever be able to make everyone happy. It’s impossible, I am sure if you think real hard you can think of at least one person in your life that did not like you for whatever reason. So what may offend you may not offend me. I just want to play, and enjoy playing as much as possible. Just ask my divorce lawyer, she will tell you. So anyone that wants to be known as Killer, Hitler, F U, or anything else that is a word and not a cheat is welcome on my host. Just my opinion.

Key word there is GAME.  Having one name or another doesn't change the game AT ALL.  tongue.gif

All to true but i draw the line at racial/religous slurs! coming from a multicultutral family (asian, african, European, australian...etc) from a wide variety of religeous backgrounds (Catholic, musilim, bhuddist...etc) so you could see how N****killer could be construed as offensive, i have a kid and if he picked a term like that up and mentioned it in front of his cousin the shit would hit the fan to say the least. others like "Hitler" etc.. i dont really care about , historical figures you cant censor and i think its funny that someone would ever want to name themselves after a politician!

Basicly...clean it up for the kids!

Nah, I still disagree. Let them play with whatever name they want. If you don’t like it, go somewhere else. When Game Bond 0007 comes out, kick them. Until then do what mommy says and just walk away ( I say mommy because my dad would have said kick his a_s). And for the kids that play, I think it is cool that they get a chance to play this. I think it is important that all kids know what it is like to shoot at moving objects that look like people (joking). I could understand more if we were playing PacMan World, or Finding Nemo, or even Harry Potter, but we are not. It is Rainbow Six 3 "Rating:M=Mature " posted all over the box, website, and dealer locations. So can we move past this now?

What a bunch of cry babies you all are, I can't believe my eyes. For fuck's sake, have any of you heard of the first amendment? You know.. freedom of speech? I can't think of an xtag so heinous that I would consider it anything more than a word. There's no reality to these tags, nor any significant meaning, they are not going to make us a different person tomorrow or anything, like wtf is wrong with you people. Quit crying and get back to killing.
