Using Xbox Oem Hd In Pc?
« on: May 22, 2004, 03:40:00 PM »

Been trying to find a direct answer... or some hint as to what to do... hopefully someone can help me with this:

Can I unlock my oem xbox hd with my pc? I want to use the hd in my computer because its just been laying around being unuseful.  If its possible, what tool should I use?

I know there has to be at least some link I overlooked. When I searched I got a bunch of searches that came up with people unlocking, but I couldnt tell if they unlocked on their PC or on the Xbox.

Thanks

Here, this should help,
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/pc-hdd.php

I've done this to mine and it works just fine, except the oem hard drive is a little slow.

No problem, and yep you do have to put it in, unless there is another way.

You can unlock it on a PC, but that requires that you know the HDD key.
